Camp Shades started with a simple frustration. I'd fallen in love with my Camp Snap — the screen-less, edit-free, point-and-shoot approach to photography that just lets you be present in the moment. But the included filters weren't doing the shots justice, and I wasn't willing to spend time editing afterwards. That's the whole point of the camera.

I'd spent years working as a professional photographer, so I knew exactly the kind of colour and tone I was after. And as a software engineer, I knew I could figure out how to get it into the camera. So I started experimenting — building filter effects from scratch, testing them across every kind of light and subject, and refining until they were genuinely something I was proud to shoot with.

Camp Shades was born from that process. Whether you're after something moody and cinematic, warm and nostalgic, bold and graphic, or clean and timeless — there's a filter for it. Something for every occasion, every subject, every mood. My goal is simple: you pick up your Camp Snap, load a filter, and your photos look exactly how you imagined they would. No editing. No faff. Just good photography.
